Whalesbot sets come with so many classroom activity possibilities that it’s easy to include Whalesbot in most of our KidsEdu STEM curriculum for all kindergarten age groups (3-4, 4-5 and 5-6 age groups). In fact, by now 50% of KidsEdu STEM’s advanced curriculum (titled “BotBuddies Discovery" curriculum) makes use of Whalesbot kits. With Whalesbot it is also easy to design preschool STEM and robotics contest events that are interesting, engaging for both teachers and students and their parents.
Within KidsEdu STEM curriculum, students in the 3-6 age groups understand the principles of coding with Whalesbot quite quickly. They also learn to work well with each other when doing a team assignment with Whalesbot kits. They express joy and sense of achievement when completing an assignment. They also learn to make changes when the assembling or coding does not work as planned.
We observe that young children like these things when “playing/learning” with Whalesbot:
- Hands-on work on assembling an item and make it work using flash card;
- Working with each other in team (collaboration);
- The sense of achievement
